<You and l> is an installation series of a single site-specific, abstract painting. Via color, the canvas celebrates the respective site and the surrounding locale.

< You and I (Assisi)>, the first of the series, was dedicated to Assisi, Italy. Preparatory paintings in various dimensions were titled in their chronological order of completion. (Assisi) no. 19 was selected for the installation, which took place between May 20-30, 2026, at the fourteenth-century place of prayer, the Oratory of Santa Chiarella.

The architecturally homogenous and visually stunning town of Assisi is the birthplace of Saint Francis and Saint Clare, a pilgrimage destination of long tradition, the site of renowned thirteenth-century frescoes by Giotto di Bondone, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The final artwork, (Assisi) no. 19, features colors quintessentially Assisi such as limestone magenta and Giotto blue. The painting – of unprimed and unstretched canvas – was exhibited on the floor of the oratory.
